U8 Development Academy

The Nordic U8 Development Academy provides year-round programming for Nordic's youngest boys & girls competitive teams. The goal of the academy is to train players on the fundamentals of the game, reinforce Nordic’s key core values - work ethic; standards; teamwork - and to continue to nourish a love of the game. 

The U8 DA is a play-based program - we believe this is where players find the joy in the sport. There are very few drills, no lectures, and certainly no laps. 

Training Days: Tuesdays/Thursdays - 4:30pm to 5:30pm - 8/29, 8/31, 9/5, 9/7, 9/12, 9/14, 9/19, 9/21, 9/26, 9/28, 10/3, 10/5, 10/10, 10/12, 10/17, 10/19, 10/24 and 10/26

Games (VSL): Sundays - 9/10, 9/17, 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22 and 10/29

All practices and VSL games will be at the Tree Farm Soccer Complex in Essex Junction.

Cost: $375

The U8 Development Academy will run from August through June. Sessions include the fall session, Nordic’s three winter sessions - approximately late October through mid April; and our spring session, approximately May through June. Each session is approximately 6 to 7 weeks. Players are not obligated to sign up for each session. 

The benefits of the program include continuity for the players and coaches; an opportunity to develop as part of our Nordic community as they train alongside our Nordic teams at our Indoor Center; and of course, practice make permanent so the more hours our young players can spend training well together, the higher chance of positive soccer development.
