Marcel Choquette Named Director of Operations
Dear Nordic Families,
It is with great excitement that we announce Marcel Choquette as the Director of Operations for Nordic Soccer Club.  
Marcel brings an impressive background in administration, coaching and leadership to this role within our club. Marcel earned a B.S. in Teacher Education from Lyndon State College in 1985, a Masters in Education from Norwich University in 1991, and additional graduate coursework at the University of Vermont, University of Phoenix and CVEDC. His early career was with Lyndon State College as Administrative Assistant and Coach for Men's Soccer and women's softball, Sports Information Director, Intramural Coordinator, and Adjunct Faculty Member. He then balanced positions with Sacred Heart Schools in Newport Vermont, Norwich University and the Missisquoi Valley Union High School as educator, coach and administrator.
Marcel served many roles at Saint Michael's College, most notably Head Coach of Women's Soccer from 1999-2013, with involvement in the NCAA Division II Leadership Academy. He has also served as a Vermont ODP State Coach. Most recently, Marcel has served as the building principal and educational leader at Highgate Elementary School and Milton Town School District.
Affiliated with the Nordic Spirit Soccer Club since 1992, Marcel has been instrumental in developing our club. His prior roles have included training and evaluating players of all ages, developing curriculum, supervising coaches and as a Director of Coaching, working closely with the Board of Directors. With this, he brings a unique perspective for future opportunities.
Marcel holds multiple coaching diploma's from the National Soccer Coaches Soccer Association of America (NSCAA).
We are thrilled to welcome Marcel back to Nordic as the Director of Operations and face of Nordic. Beyond his valuable experience with Nordic and extensive administrative abilities, Marcel is bringing energy and enthusiasm that will help Nordic reach new levels of excellence for each player and family as the premier competitive club in Vermont.
Marcel lives in Milton with his wife Rebecca and young son Killian. His oldest son Jayden resides in South Burlington and his daughter Kaeta lives in Naples, Florida.
Marcel is taking over as our Director of Operations from Adam Pfeifer who has become the Head Men's Soccer Coach at Norwich University.
