Founded in 1993 as MAPLE, today the NSL provides a competitive structure for more than 850 teams from 100 clubs throughout New England. These clubs range from large, "full service" clubs to those consisting of one or two teams, from the highly selective to the developmental. We offer a league structure based solely on merit which is stable, consistent, predictable and comprehensible for all teams. The structure allows all teams' access and a chance to rise. NSL's divisions do this by providing opportunity to the aspiring, competition for the developing, and challenge to the highly competitive.

"We are very excited to welcome Nordic Soccer Club to the NSL and the prospect of allowing our top clubs and teams to compete against one of the top clubs in the region.  Our goal at NSL is to provide the best possible competition and highest club standards and Nordic SC represents all these qualities and more" says John Barata, Executive Director of NSL.

"I had the opportunity to watch several Nordic teams at the Region 1 tournament and I was impressed with the competitive level of the Club.   Our top clubs and teams will enjoy the opportunity to compete against one of the top clubs in the region" added Steven Robinson, President of NSL.

NSL league play will allow Nordic Soccer Club teams the opportunity to play against some of the top teams and clubs who have competed in recent regional play and tournaments.

For spring of 2018 Nordic SC teams will be placed in divisions that represent their standard of play to ensure correct levels of competition.  NSL will also be working on the administration and operations of the league to review travel commitments for the league in order to review how home games can be secured for Nordic SC players, parents and coaches.

Nordic will enter 8 teams for the spring 2018 season:

2005 Boys and Girls

2004 Boys and Girls

2003 Boys and Girls

2002 Boys and Girls

"Nordic Soccer is very excited and looking forward to joining NSL starting in the spring of 2018.  The structure of league play and quality of fellow clubs in the NSL allows Nordic teams the opportunity to align with our mission statement of providing our players with the highest level of play available.  We have been very impressed with the professionalism of the league management through-out our application process and look forward to working and playing alongside the other clubs in NSL.

This will also allow Nordic to remain committed to supporting the Vermont Soccer Association (VSA) and with this goal in mind, Nordic teams will continue to participate in the Vermont Soccer League (VSL) and VT State Cup." stated Jim Goudie, Director of Coaching for Nordic Soccer Club.

For the 2017/18 season Northeast Soccer League will play under the US Club Soccer Affiliation which represents a significant development for their member clubs and administration through its Players First mission, a branded, holistic club soccer experience for parents and players which emphasizes the development of each individual to his or her full potential.

"We are very excited to welcome NSL to the US Club Soccer family," said US Club Soccer CEO/Executive Director Kevin Payne. "We very much enjoyed our conversations with the NSL leadership, and it's clear that the direction they want to follow on behalf of their players and parents fits perfectly with the US Club Soccer philosophy."

For all Nordic SC players, parents, coaches and administrators welcome to the Northeast Soccer League.
