U13 & U14 Premier Program - What to Expect
Tryouts – Nordic will be hosting tryouts for the upcoming season in early July. Players will be introduced to the Nordic coaching staff and the Nordic Soccer Club philosophy. Tryouts allow coaches to get to know players on a more personal basis, and allows families the opportunity to decide if club soccer is a good fit for the player and parent.
For more information contact Jim Goudie at jim@nordicsoccer.org or Craig Stone at craig@nordicsoccer.org
Following tryouts, players will be sent appropriate paperwork to register for Nordic and initial payment is expected to accept your spot in our program within two weeks.
Fall – We will start on Sundays in mid-September and teams have the option to attend a tournament in New England in the fall.
Winter – This team kicks off their indoor season at the Nordic Indoor Soccer Center (NISC) at the CVE Expo in Essex Junction. Players practice and/or play two times per week through-out the winter months. Players will compete in our leagues and will practice twice per week with their team during the winter. NISC runs three indoor sessions through-out the winter. Session 1 is typically during November and December, Session 2 during January and February, and Session 3 during March and April. There will be breaks through-out the winter for school holidays and certain CVE Expo shows.
Spring – This team will start to prepare for their outdoor spring season with mid-week outdoor practices starting in early March (weather permitting). Teams start outdoor practices at the Tree Farm Soccer Complex in Essex Junction after the April school break. Teams will practice twice per week (Mon/Weds or Tues/Thurs) for 90 minutes (5:00pm to 6.30pm, or 6.30pm to 8:00pm). This team will compete in a Spring League against teams from other local clubs and town teams with games on weekends through-out the state of Vermont. Teams typically play in 2 to 3 tournaments through-out the spring season, Nordic Cup plus others TBD.
Please plan to be available for Nordic events through late June
