Nordic U11 & U12 Program – What to Expect

Tryouts – Nordic will be hosting tryouts for the upcoming season in late June. Players will be introduced to the Nordic coaching staff and the Nordic soccer philosophy. Tryouts allow for coaches to get to know players on a more personal basis, and allows families the opportunity to decide if club soccer is a good fit for the player and parent.

For more information contact Jim Goudie at jim@nordicsoccer.org or Craig Stone at craig@nordicsoccer.org

Following tryouts, players will be sent appropriate paperwork to register for Nordic and initial payment is expected to accept your spot in our program within two weeks.

Fall – Practices and games will start in late August/early September with two team/age group practices per week (days/times TBA) at the Tree Farm soccer complex in Essex Junction, and VSA Fall league games on Sundays. This will be an 8-week season through mid to late October.

Winter – The winter season kicks off our indoor season at the Nordic Indoor Soccer Center (NISC) at the CVE Expo in Essex Junction. Players will be placed on balanced and age appropriate teams to compete in our 7v7 league. Teams will consist of 9-11 players to maximize playing time for all players. Players will practice twice per week with their team/age group. NISC runs three indoor sessions through-out the winter. Session 1 is typically during November and December, Session 2 during January and February, and Session 3 during March and April. There will be breaks throughout the winter for school holidays and certain CVE Expo shows.

Spring – All Nordic teams will start outdoor practices at the Tree Farm Soccer Complex in Essex Junction after the April school break. Teams will practice twice per week (Mon/Weds or Tues/Thurs). We will compete in the Vermont Soccer League (VSL) . This league includes teams from other local clubs and town teams. Games are typically on weekends throughout the state of Vermont. Teams will play in three tournaments throughout the spring season. Memorial Day weekend we travel to Massachusetts, the second weekend of June we play in the Vermont Soccer Festival, and the third weekend of June is Nordic Cup. Nordic Cup is typically the end of the season.

Cost: $1795 - this DOES NOT include uniform COSTS!

We do offer a $100 per player multi player discount for families with multiple players in our U9+ programs.

What this fee includes:
